Hailing all the way from Champaign (did someone say Champagneš„ š„) in the great state of Illinois, Emma came to New Haven to explore what the East Coast had to offer. Here, she found the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life, home to Magevet, our very own musical group, which Emma gracefully directed for a whole year. But Emma's incredible ear for music doesn't stop at acapella. She also plays Klezmer, leads Niggun Circle, and frequents Shabbos evening zemirot. You could call her the Slifka music connoisseur, but that would be an understatement. Outside of her musical talents, Emma is studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology so she can (famously) tell her Jewish mother that she is "everybody's doctor" as she embarks on her journey in public health. She will tell this presumably to her father too, who is Italian (where the Donnini comes from). If you ever want to play a good board game in Silliman, find the perfect key for the song you're itching to sing, or feel the urge to talk about your religious crisis, Emma is your gal.
