Hailing from the two great cities of Atlanta, GA and Yeruham, Israel, Asher Lytton is a junior in Silliman College studying comparative literature. When Asher is not singing in Hebrew or Yiddish in the Slifka Center, he is likely singing in Hebrew or Yiddish somewhere else, with or without the rest of Magevet. If you start singing in his presence, expect that he will join you.
His warm tenor voice reflects his friendly character and deep passion for Jewish music. For a man with such passion and creativity, it is only natural that Magevet wouldn’t be what it is today or sound like it does without him.
