To all corners of the earth

In late-May 2024, Magevet will embark on an ambitious and pioneering tour to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. We aim to take our singing to all corners of the earth, uplifting, bonding and connecting with Jewish communities worldwide!

Sunrise over Sydney

As the capstone to our 2023-2024 season, we will bring our singing and our experience of Jewish life at Yale to the Australian Jewish community. Adding to the energy and excitement generated by announcement of our Australia trip, we've just released our newest album, Refuat HaNefesh, on all major streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube, etc.) – we invite you to listen, and hope you enjoy!

This trip will represent Magevet's first adventure 'down under', as well as the first trip to Australia by a collegiate Jewish a cappella group.

Establishing the Magevet Endowment

Nearly thirty years ago, a group of Yale students came together to create a community dedicated to celebrating the beauty and significance of Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli song. Today, we are thrilled to announce the campaign to establish the Magevet endowment, and we hope that you will join us in this groundbreaking effort.

Magevet’s work has an immense impact on all those involved, and it also helps to ensure that the great diversity of Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli music is preserved and shared for generations to come. To support this work in perpetuity, we hope to establish an endowment fund of $118,000 that will cover general operations and allow Magevet to spread Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli music even farther—from New Haven to communities the world over.
